Salman: 10 ka Dumb?

At a plush suburban five-star hotel, Salman Khan arrived in style for the launch of his much-awaited television debut, 10 Ka Dum. Salman stuck to his tradition of making a late entry. This time, he kept everyone waiting for a whole two hours, but made up for it almost as soon as he took the stage. Sallu, with a teensy ponytail for company, kept everyone entertained and gave a good enough glimpse of what to expect from the show. For starters, he kept taking digs at the media. “This is just like Maine Pyar Kiya,” he said, when asked about his television debut. According to him, the ponytail had been a trend he and pal Sanjay Dutt started back in the early 90s. But, in jest, he gave the media the answer they were hoping for. “Ooh, yes I’m inspired by Shah Rukh,” he said, fluttering his eyelashes. A song-and-dance routine heralded his arrival and Sallu explained that you didn’t have to have a very high IQ to participate in the show, so he was the right choice. Is it true, then, that brawny isn’t necessarily brainy? You said it Salman, we didn’t!
