Nandana Sen: Baring skin is not bold

Sultry Bengali actress Nandana Sen will be now seen in Ketan Mehta’s historical romance Rang Rasiya, playing painter Ravi Verma’s muse. Currently in the news for her bold scenes opposite lead hero Randeep Hooda, Nandana is basking in the attention showered on her.
Having mostly done glamorous roles, this seems different. However, she says it’s still a glamorous role, only in a period film. About the project, Nandana says, “He was trying to find the divine in the physical beauty of the character played by me.” She also has some words to spare on her ‘supposedly’ bold scenes. “We think too much about being bold. I think acting is, by definition, a bold profession. There is nothing bolder than baring your soul. Baring your skin is nothing.”Playing the muse of a controversial painter known for his vivid portrayal of women wasn’t easy for Nandana. That may be why she is so gung ho about the character. Let’s hope her bold effort pays off
